Why tech@nyu?
I want to go into big tech and startups and tech@nyu definitely has one of the biggest and best communities for it. People here are not only genuinely nice but hardworking and resourceful too. Look forward to growing with the team!
What do you look for in program members?
Passionate and responsible people. We want people who are ambitious about what they do while also getting the small things done in an organized way. Show that you have crazy ideas and the ability to execute. We are a committee, not a company, so have fun and we’ll do incredible things together!
What do you do outside of work?
I’m a huge NBA fan, so catch me on the court or watching a Spurs/Blazers game. When I have the time, I enjoy a good drawing session alone (I mainly do sketching but have recently picked up digital painting). As cliche as it sounds, I love exploring the city too - always try to do something new every once in a while.
What's your journey into (your career/goal)?
I’m currently pursuing a career in product management. I love how problem driven and people centered it is, which, in my opinion, perfectly matches with who I am and my strengths. One day, I’m hoping to work on a product that people use every single day!
What’s your favorite Tech@NYU event?
My favorite Tech event was the PM in AI panel collaborated with PMC. I had the honor to moderate it, and since the speakers were already friends their chemistry was truly amazing. It was one of the most natural, fun, and insightful sessions I have ever been to. One of the panelists is a Tech@NYU alum as well!
Advice to your younger self?
Don’t overthink it. Do what you won’t regret. It’s really not that deep.
Who's your opp?
Sean Lai.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself being a decade older in 10 years.
Favorite tradition/memory from tech@nyu?
My favorite times are when people are just casually hanging out at Elab. It really shows that this is a group you can have a lot of fun with, yet still lock in together.
