Parul Veda
Parul is a junior studying Business, Technology, and Entrepreneurship with a minor in Computer Science. She spent three years at a startup, gaining experience across software engineering, sales, and product management. She has also worked in PM roles at Chegg and PitchBook Data. Outside of experimenting with and building new products, she enjoys live music events and walking around the city.

Why tech@nyu?
Even though my major is a combination of business and tech, I come from a mostly tech background. After my SWE internships, I was pretty sure I did not want to do SWE. But I still wanted to be involved in the tech industry, so I joined the club my freshman fall semester!
Favorite tech@nyu event of all time?
My favorite event was definitely HOF Hacks. All the hackathons I’ve ever competed in were in my sophomore year of high school during COVID, so I’ve never experienced one in-person. And then I got the chance to plan one with Startup Week! From logistical spreadsheet planning before the event, to walking 10 blocks with 10 boxes of bagels, to announcing the final winners, it was a crazy but rewarding experience.
Words for your younger and future self.
If you think you’re going through a hard time, think about the last time you struggled. It ended up working out then, and it’s going to work out now. Also it’s not that deep.
Favorite tradition/memory from tech@nyu?
For the last Eboard meeting in the Spring 2024 semester, we got a tech@nyu cake and had a cute picnic in the park!
