Kevin is a Junior studying Computer Science and Math. He previously worked on the frontend for a startup. Outside of school and work, he enjoys street photography, cooking, and speedcubing.

Why tech@nyu?
I’m sure this is super generic but the people in Tech@NYU are definitely the best part! I’ve met some of the coolest people through this club and built strong connections with them! Also, I really enjoy all the exposure to the tech field I get from the club. Being able to network with industry professionals is super valuable to me, as I get to learn more about their experiences!
What do you do outside of work?
Outside of work, I really enjoy doing street photography around NYC. I think being able to explore new places within the city is always eye opening and fun. I also enjoy cooking yummy food, and working out. Finally, I like playing video games like TFT or Valorant.
Favorite tech@nyu event of all time?
I would have to say the LinkedIn headshot workshop. Before going to this event, I never had a professional photo to use, and this event allowed me to finally get one! It was also super cool being able to network with other students at the event and also get some free boba.
Advice to your younger self?
If I could go back to talk to my younger self, I would most likely tell him to experience more of life. I feel like I was too focused on school, and I didn’t do everything else there was to life. I feel like exploring the world more would have been really fun.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In 10 years, I hope to see myself doing something that excites me everyday. I enjoy feeling like I have a purpose everyday, and I hope to be chasing my passions somewhere in the field of technology!
What's something you're currently learning or exploring?
I’m currently trying to learn how to rockclimb! I started last year when I joined NYU’s climbing club, and I’ve been slowly trying to improve at it. It’s super fun since it's like a combination of exercise and problem solving
