Karan is currently a sophomore studying Computer Science. He has previously worked as a Software Engineering intern at HealthKart and a Data Science intern at Fractal Analytics. When he is not working, he enjoys cooking, exploring New York City, and watching Arsenal games.

Why tech@nyu?
When I joined NYU, I wanted to find a community of people who shared my passion for tech. Tech@NYU has given me just that. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people and making friends through the club. Additionally, the variety of events the club offers has been beneficial for learning about different domains of tech.
What do you look for in program members?
At Tech Treks, we are looking for people who are passionate about building and learning new skills. Knowing different technologies and having extensive programming experience are not prerequisites for applying to the program. If you genuinely want to learn, meet new people, and build a project on a topic that interests you, we encourage you to apply.
What do you do outside of work?
Outside of work, some of my interests include cooking and trying new recipes, exploring all that New York City has to offer, and watching Arsenal games. I also enjoy playing video games, Cyberpunk 2077 and COD Zombies are my favourites.
Favourite tech@nyu event of all time?
I really enjoyed the Tech Treks program. It was so lovely to get to know the cohort members and work on a project. The project showcase at the end was great as well, and it was nice seeing what everyone built.
Who's your opp?
Spurs Fans. Pretty self explanatory, really.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I plan to work on something that makes a tangible impact on the world and hopefully, something I enjoy.
