Jennifer is a sophomore studying interactive media arts at Tisch. Pivoting from her background in fine arts, she's finding ways to make design meaningful and to hopefully create works that merge physical and digital worlds. Outside of design, she spends her time playing classical guitar, doing hip hop, and trying good food around the city.

Why tech@nyu?
For the community, for the vibes, and for being continually inspired by the people around me, motivated to learn, grow, and do more than I ever imagined.
What's your aesthetic?
I LOVE the dark and futuristic styles. I use this style heavily in my personal branding, so I was excited to bring that style into Tech@NYU during our rebrand this fall. The retro-futuristic, 1960s to early 2000s vibe matches the both the scrappiness of our community and our collective forward-looking energy and excitement for possibilities ahead.
What's your journey into design?
I started as a fine artist. I've been creating art for as long as I can remember, and it has become an integral part of who I am. Over time, I realized that my work was always purpose-driven, which naturally led me toward design, where I can create things that are not only meaningful but also functional and sometimes systematic. Looking ahead, I hope to either help create thoughtful user experiences or contribute to pushing the frontier of merging the physical and the digital experiences.
Advice to your younger self?
Don't be afraid to change your path. Tech@NYU has definitely taught me that the road to your goals is often winding and unconventional, with plenty of ups and downs. But the people you meet and the memories you make along the way are what truly matter. And in the end, you'll figure it all out :)
