Elaine is a senior studying Media, Culture, and Communication with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Originally from Houston, Texas, she’s an aspiring entertainment marketer, brand storyteller, and lifelong tea enthusiast. She is currently a Brand Marketing Intern at NBCUniversal, where she supports NBC’s primetime and late-night shows, including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Saturday Night Live, along with live events and specials.

Why tech@nyu?
I joined Tech@NYU to meet people outside my major and apply my marketing skills to help grow the Techie community. It has truly been one of the best parts of my time at NYU. Everyone is so ambitious, creative, and supportive, and I’ve met some of the most inspiring people here!
What do you do outside of work?
Outside of work, I love going on tea-tasting adventures, practicing modern calligraphy, curating Pinterest boards, planning spontaneous trips, and finding the best food spots in the city.
Favorite tech@nyu event of all time?
The E-Board Seniors Internship Panel! Since it’s my last year, it was incredibly rewarding to share my experiences with underclassmen and offer advice on navigating internships and NYU life.
What's your journey into (your career/goal)?
My love for marketing and storytelling started early. In middle school, I created my first business Instagram account, which sparked my interest in content creation and brand building. That small project grew into a passion for marketing that I’ve continued to explore ever since. I’ve since interned at NBCUniversal, Hearst Magazines, and NYU’s Office of Global Inclusion, where I learned how creative storytelling can connect communities and build brand relevance.
Advice to your younger self
Trust the process. Everything will come together in ways you don’t expect!

The E-Board BBQ social! It was the perfect way to kick off the semester and get to know my fellow E-Board members in a fun and welcoming setting.
