Why tech@nyu?
Although I’ve always been drawn to technology and art to solve problems, I was not able to find a space that united these disciplines and truly fostered my curiosity until I joined Tech@NYU. Through Tech Treks and then becoming a PM, I learned how to transform loose ideas into apps with intentional UI that simplify people’s lives. The creativity and innovation skills I’ve cultivated (along with the amazing people here) inspire me to be a better leader and collaborator, dedicated to creating tools with impact.
What do you do outside of work?
I dance, but I also started pole dancing after I saw a clip of Vanillamace teaching that to KatieB. Surprisingly, a lot of pole dancers at my studio are also software engineers/have a background in CS! I love watching Joe Bart videos, reading, and curating new outfits. I also eat and post on my food account a lot.
Advice to your younger self?
To be cringe is to be free!
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Doing fulfilling work that I’m passionate about, whether it’s building a startup with my friends or operating a matcha cafe. Owning a sausage dog. Still playing instruments, singing, dancing, and writing songs. Hopefully having met Andy Samberg and learned two more languages. Most importantly, being happy surrounded by the people who make me laugh the most.
