Why tech@nyu?
It is scarily easy to become a recluse in the tech space, especially in the early years of college. I got roped into the club by a friend of mine (thanks Sean) at the start of my sophomore year. Since then, Tech@NYU has been a consistently uplifting source of community in what can often feel like a very isolating field. It’s a place to befriend and work with people from every corner of the tech field, from fellow devs to marketers and Sternies.
What do you do outside of work?
I cook and take photos. I also lift and run and go backpacking. Been recording amateur audiobooks and trying to learn guitar recently, too. If you want to talk about any of these things (or suggest some new thing for me to try) by all means reach out. I’d hate to die before getting to try every cool thing.
Favorite tech@nyu event of all time?
This is gonna sound corny but they’re all amazing. From my time as a Startup Week member to now being on the exec team we’ve been great about planning socials and events that turn the teams into real friend groups. Twist my arm and force me to choose, I have to say the post-Startup-Week hot pot I hosted has to be at the top.

Advice to your younger self?
Get to know people. There are many ways to do this: go outside whenever you get an excuse to, sit front and center in class, leave Tandon, email interesting profs and students asking them stuff, leave Tandon, leave Tandon.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
The vision changes every week (too many interesting things to do in this life), but having a PhD in Robotics and a job at the bleeding edge of the next big wave in tech would be nice. Either that or a hermitage in the Sierra Nevadas foraging for nuts and berries and such.
